You must have used tape in your life or work. Why is it that the tape can be easily peeled off the roll, but it sticks tightly once it is attached to the paper?
In fact, both sides of the tape are coated with chemicals. One side is coated with a stripper that allows the tape to be easily separated, and the other side is coated with an adhesive. This is the secret of tape production.
Also, the tape looks like clear plastic, but it’s actually made of sawdust. You wouldn’t believe it. What is the process of making tape? Come and find out.。
The first step is to make the original glue pulp
1. Make pulp (a product obtained by processing plant fibers such as wood), then add chemicals and mix thoroughly;
2. Stir the pulp until it is like porridge, and then leave it for a while;
3. Add carbon dioxide or caustic soda to dissolve the pulp again;
4. After filtering, the original pulp for making adhesive paper is obtained.
Step 2: Make adhesive tape
1. Press the original pulp into a thin long strip;
2. Use coagulant to solidify the original pulp;
3. Put the original pulp into bleach and softener, and then wash it with water;
4. Roll up the tape after drying.
The third step is to apply stripper and primer
Apply stripper on top of the tape, apply primer on the bottom, and roll it up again.
Step 4: Apply adhesive
1. Apply adhesive to the side of the tape that has been coated with primer, and then roll it up;
2. Let the tape dry.
Step 5 Cutting
Roll the dried tape into a large roll and cut it to the required width.
Step 6 Packing
Put the cut tape into the box and the transparent tape is completed.
